Opportunity:
Med/Surge Nurses
Job Details:
• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on scientific nursing principles
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and through IV, and record prescribed medications
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments according to facility policy
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs accurately and completely
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays
• Provide bedside care for medical patients including pre- and post-surgery patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment
• Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
• Participate in discharge planning and utilize effective time management skills
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through American Heart Association)
• Wyoming RN license required
• Must complete specific facility coversheet and submission template
• Position is for contractor replacement at Riverton campus
