Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 with nurse aide/patient care tech support at 1:10 or 2:20
• 35-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Common diagnoses include cardiac, nephrology, strokes, diabetes management, and continuous EEG monitoring
• Required to titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
• Floating requirements to medical floors, ICU, or rehab may be required
• First week consists of onboarding followed by 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation on the floor
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Must pass an open book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
