Opportunity:
Med Surg Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirements: every other weekend
• Holiday coverage when needed
• No call or standby requirements
• Float to any facility in the region (Boise, Meridian, and Nampa) within specialty
• First to float and may be floated mid-shift to different units and facilities as needed
• Can serve as 1:1 sitter in any area when required
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5 for MedSurg units
• Float among 7 MedSurg units across all facilities (1 in Nampa, 2 in Meridian, 4 in Boise)
• Required to titrate insulin drips
• No self-scheduling available, block scheduling attempted but not guaranteed
• Receive unit assignment via app 1 hour before shift starts
• Must have 2 years experience in specialty and previous travel experience
• Required certification: BLS
• 3 shifts of inpatient orientation plus meet and greet on day 1
• BSN not required
• EPIC charting system
• Professional scrubs required, no specific color requirement
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 times per contract
