Opportunity:

Registered Nurse position

Job Details:

• Provide quality, professional, general nursing care to Med/Surg and EICU patients
• Assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate patient care for assigned patient group
• Adapt to changes in daily assignments, patient status changes, and unit needs
• Use nursing process throughout patient hospitalization and ensure individualized care
• Initiate, develop and document patient care plans based on assessment and medical diagnosis
• Provide care independently with minimal supervision within unit requirements and policies
• Respond to life threatening situations based on nursing standards and protocols
• Perform or assist with procedures per approved departmental policy
• Monitor and record patient conditions using computerized documentation systems
• Acknowledge physician orders via electronic medical record (EMR) and follow through timely
• Administer medications including IV therapy with proficiency
• Initiate patient/family education and discharge planning according to individualized needs
• Delegate to and collaborate with health team members in patient care planning
• Safely care for multiple patients while maintaining safe environment
• Two-year nursing degree required, BSN preferred
• Wisconsin Registered Nursing license required
• BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
• ACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PALS certification encouraged
• Intermediate computer proficiency required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements
