Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday day shifts with 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
• Shift times dependent on patient volumes - may work as late as 7:00 or 8:00 PM on high-volume days
• No on-call requirements
• Schedule will be discussed with manager during interview
• Must be proficient with Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator (hard requirement)
• ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Epic experience within the last 12 months required and must be detailed on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam (only one attempt allowed)
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Handle cancer-related diagnoses and treatments
• Operate with 2 therapists per linac with average of 35 patients per day on each of 3 linacs
• Provide external beam therapy, IMRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, and other radiation treatments
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Travel experience required

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive radiation oncology center featuring three linear accelerators and modern cancer treatment technology. The center maintains a daily census of approximately 100 patients and provides specialized cancer care services with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, interpretation services, pharmacy, and social services. The facility emphasizes advanced radiation therapy treatments and maintains high standards for patient care in oncology services.
