Opportunity:
Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips - failure results in contract termination
• Required licenses: Nevada RN license prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Care for patients with CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMI's, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS patients
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc.)
• May float to Intensive Care Units, medical surgical units, and other facilities based on competency level
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up additional shifts during schedule period
• Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and their families
• Coordinate care between other professionals and utilize nursing process for optimal patient outcomes

This healthcare facility is a Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation, featuring 800 in-patient beds and serving a 500-mile radius. The organization operates in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment with volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center. The facility is recognized in the top 1% nationwide for outstanding care in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical procedures. The hospital offers comprehensive services including primary care, heart care, OB/GYN, advanced surgical services, and various specialty departments focused on clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.
