Opportunity:

RN - Surgical Center/Pre-Op

Job Details:

• Work either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week
• Day shift options: 8-hour shifts (6:00 AM-2:00 PM, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM) or 10-hour shifts (9:00 AM-5:00 PM)
• Occasional midnight shifts may be required to support operational demands
• Weekend rotation requirement: 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM-3:00 PM) on Saturday or Sunday
• On-call requirement: 1-2 second calls every scheduling period (monthly) with 24-hour call coverage from 7:00 AM-7:00 AM on weekends
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• May float to OR holding area as needed
• Handle 55-70 cases per day across 15 suites
• Provide pre-operative care for all procedures including same day and overnight stays
• IV skills required
• Surgical care knowledge and robotics experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule)
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Electronic medical record systems: Currently Sunrise, transitioning to EPIC in April
• Charting system: Allscripts
• Unit-specific orientation for surgical center/pre-op area

This acute care facility features a comprehensive surgical center with 15 operating suites handling a high volume of procedures daily. The facility specializes in pre-operative care for all types of surgical procedures, including both same-day and overnight stays. The organization utilizes advanced technology including robotics and maintains modern electronic medical record systems. The surgical center operates as part of a larger acute care setting, providing comprehensive perioperative services to support diverse surgical specialties.
