Opportunity:

OT - Occupational Therapist

Job Details:

• Evaluate and treat patients for Activities of Daily Living (ADL), range of motion (ROM), strength, and functional capabilities
• Develop and implement written occupational therapy plans of care under physician referral
• Provide direct patient treatment for both inpatients and outpatients
• Perform diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver group therapy, recreational programs, vocational therapy, creative arts, essential life skills training, massage therapy, gait training, and muscle retraining
• Design, fabricate, and fit orthotics and self-help devices as needed
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated comprehensive care programs
• Maintain accurate and thorough treatment records and documentation of all services rendered
• Serve as activities consultant for long-term care and hospital settings
• Instruct patients, residents, and staff on occupational therapy recommendations
• Coordinate discharge follow-up with community agencies as needed
• Apply principles of pain management and age-specific care to support individual patient needs
• Supervise use, maintenance, and care of tools and equipment within the department
• Participate in staff education, in-service training, and professional development activities
• Contribute to departmental budgeting, policy development, and operational planning
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality standards
• Must obtain Hawaii PT license prior to start
