Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Details:

• Day shift patient ratio of 1:4-5 and night shift patient ratio of 1:5-1:6
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• EMR system: EPIC experience required
• Minimum 2 years of previous Cardiac Stepdown experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Must have active Illinois nursing license at time of submission
• Iowa and Illinois state licenses required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC)
• Skills checklist specific to Stepdown/Progressive Care discipline required
• Work history must reflect 24 months of current Stepdown/Progressive Care experience
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required
• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiac stepdown and progressive care unit, providing specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and clinical intervention. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains a structured interdisciplinary team approach to patient care. Charge nurses actively work to ensure safe and equitable patient assignments based on each staff member's level of cardiac experience.
