Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment on a 3rd floor Labor and Delivery unit in an acute hospital setting
• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirements
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule required
• Patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1 depending on patient needs
• Work on a Level 4 designated maternal center caring for the most complex patients at any gestation
• Experience with high-risk maternal patients required
• Circulating operating room and triage experience required
• Greater than 5 years of experience preferred
• Perform or assist with vaginal and cesarean section deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage placement and removal, D&C, C-hyst, and PASD cases
• EMR systems used: CPN and Meditech
• Required dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Must be a strong multi-tasker, able to move at a fast pace, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and work as a team player

Facility:

This facility is a nationally recognized acute care hospital featuring a Level 4 maternal designation, representing the highest level of maternal care in the state of Texas. The unit consists of 22 beds, including 16 labor beds, and is staffed by approximately 100 RNs and support staff. The facility has been recognized as America's Best Maternity Hospital by Newsweek in 2023 and has received straight Leapfrog Grade A ratings since the program began. The unit is currently undergoing renovations to update all patient rooms and is led by a tenured and supportive management team that actively engages in patient care when needed.
