Opportunity:

ED/MedSurg Swing

Job Details:

• 12-hour day and night shifts available, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Night shift position with every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• First to float when needed
• Flex time in place of call or standby requirement
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Patient ratios: 1:4 acute care, 1:6 swing bed, 1:4 emergency department
• 22-bed unit serving acute care and swing bed patients with a variety of diagnoses
• Minimum one year of MedSurg experience required
• Required to titrate drips including standard titratable and set rate drips
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• May float to ED holds and may work in a charge nurse capacity
• Respiratory equipment includes nebulizers, oxygen via nasal cannula and mask, ventilator (ED and transport use only), and CPAP
• Charting system: EPIC
• Any scrub color permitted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS

This acute care facility operates a combined Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical Swing Bed unit, providing comprehensive inpatient and emergency services to its patient population. The facility utilizes EPIC for electronic health records and supports a collaborative care environment with charge nurse leadership. The unit is equipped to handle a wide range of diagnoses and offers both acute and swing bed care settings to meet diverse patient needs.
