Opportunity:

RN - MS Tele/PCU

Job Details:

• Primarily care for a mix of Medical-Surgical Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients
• Patient ratios are a minimum of 5-6:1, sometimes 6 dependent on patient population
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
• Unit has 35 beds across 32 rooms with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
• Weekend coverage required
• Float within the hospital as needed
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA only)
• Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, pacemaker management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care and management, wound care and wound vac, high flow nasal cannula, and use of rapid response and code teams, among others
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This facility operates a mixed Medical-Surgical Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
