Opportunity:
RN Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
• Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts
• All days of the week including weekends required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• On-call required approximately 1-3 shifts per 6 weeks
• Float to other OB units required to meet facility needs
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Patient ratios: 1:1-1:2 for Labor and Delivery; couplet care is 1:3
• LDRP unit covering Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum
• Care for neonatal and adult patient populations with a daily census of 10-12
• Provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and cesarean section care with deliveries by OBs and CNMs
• Care for higher-risk mothers including those on Magnesium Sulfate, preterm labor, and related conditions
• SCN coverage up to 34 weeks
• Scrub color: Green
• Required certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, C-EFM (highly encouraged)
• ACLS preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO is not allowed during the following time periods: June 28–July 9, 2026; September 2–September 12, 2026; October 25–November 4, 2026
Facility:
This facility is a well-regarded healthcare organization with a strong Labor and Delivery unit that emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practice, and family-centered care. The unit includes 6 LDR rooms, 10 postpartum beds with the capability of converting 2 to LDR, 2 operating rooms, an OBED, and 6 SCN beds. The organization provides robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.
