Opportunity:

RN - Heart & Vascular Institute

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts required as scheduled
• No call or standby requirement; overtime is available
• Acute care setting with 32 private beds (22 Stepdown and 12 Floor)
• Stepdown ratio: 1 RN to 3 patients; Floor ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
• Nurse aides available with 1 Clinical Associate per 8-10 patients
• Cardiac/vascular experience required
• Must be able to titrate drips including Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, TPA, Lasix, and Dobutamine
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Chart using EPIC system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Scrub color requirement: Solid Royal Blue and White
• 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Floating required to sister units within the Heart and Vascular Institute
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• BSN not required

The unit is known for its excellent quality of care and thriving teamwork atmosphere, treating complex cases including cardiac surgery post-op patients, vascular surgery procedures, and a wide range of cardiology conditions. The facility maintains 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor coverage along with cardiac monitor technicians to ensure comprehensive patient support around the clock.
