Description
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2337.64
Opportunity:
RN - ED / Trauma
Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts required
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holidays based on unit coverage needs
• Must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Unit includes 36 acute beds, 54 subacute beds, and 6 trauma bays
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and ATCN (ENPC not accepted in place of PALS)
• Charting system: Cerner EMR
• Must be able to read telemetry strips using Phillips monitors
• Ventilators managed by respiratory therapy
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 and pharmacy available 24/7
• 2-3 shift floor-specific orientation provided
• May float between up to 4 facilities approximately 30 minutes apart, including mid-shift float
• Must have personal vehicle for travel between facilities
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Pass/fail exam required on Day 1 of orientation (study guide provided)
• SIMs Lab required for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail)
• Scrub color: Navy
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
Facility:
This Level 1 Trauma Center operates multiple locations across the region, providing comprehensive emergency and trauma care services to a high-volume patient population of approximately 88,000 patients per year, averaging 250-300 patients daily. The facility is equipped with a designated Chest Pain Center and holds Spinal Cord TBI certification. The emergency department benefits from around-the-clock respiratory therapy and pharmacy support, with an in-house pharmacist available in the ER for 10 hours per day and a minimum of 2 attending physicians on staff at all times.
