Opportunity:
Rehab Occupational Therapy
Job Details:
• Level 1 trauma acute care experience required with a minimum of 1 year
• Monday through Friday shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (start time flexible up to 8:00 AM)
• Required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a day off during that applicable week
• Treat patients across cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, medicine, trauma, surgical, and oncology populations
• Primary role is inpatient acute care
• Establish treatment plans and provide treatment, considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and appropriate equipment and supplies
• Educate, collaborate, and conference with patients, families, and other healthcare providers, making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed
• Delegate to assistants and techs through written and verbal communication, determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet patient needs
• Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies
• May be utilized in any therapy service line within the hospital
• Special equipment used includes SPH equipment, vital carts, iPad interpreter, and ADL supplies
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Black or Grey
• Required certifications: BLS, State License
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• No on-call required
• No more than 7 days of requested time off within a 13-week contract
• Strong communication skills and desire to work with a variety of patient populations required

This short-term acute care teaching facility is a Level 1 trauma center with 1,259 staffed beds, offering a comprehensive range of medical services. The facility supports a wide variety of patient populations including cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, surgical, and oncology patients. As a large academic medical center, it provides interdisciplinary support and access to advanced technology and specialty care services.
