Job Details:
• 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Contract length of 13 to 20 weeks
• Every third weekend required
• No float requirement
• No holiday RTO allowed for this role
• Minimum of 7 call days per month required, with two call days per week for two weeks each month and one call weekend per month; additional coverage may be required to meet departmental needs
• Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback time is determined based on procedure type
• Call team consists of three staff members, one of whom must be an RN
• Assist provider while performing diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
• Scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab and cardiology procedures
• Expect urgent and emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures
• Combo lab environment (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP) with approximately 90% IR and 10% other procedure types
• Medication administration performed by RN only
• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include device implants: PPM and ICD
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• IR experience required — 90% of all cases are IR
• Required skills: scrub, circulate, telemetry
• Preferred skills: EKG lead placement, carotid stenting, catheter/drain exchange, diagnostic cardiac cath lab, left and right heart catheterization, stent placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, renal artery stent placement, mesenteric angiogram, ureteral stent placement, kyphoplasties, biopsies, and room circulator
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and ARRT or RCIS
• Preferred certifications: ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, RCIS with medical experience
• Special equipment includes: GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System, Implanta Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella
• Scrubs are provided
• Orientation is 40 to 80 hours; techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions training is completed
• RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite
