Job Details:
• 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Schedule is per unit needs with no holiday RTO for this role
• Every third weekend coverage required
• Minimum 7 call days per month required
• Typical call schedule includes two call days per week for two weeks each month and one call weekend per month
• Additional call coverage may be required to meet departmental needs and is rotated equitably among staff
• Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback time is determined based on procedure type
• Call team consists of three staff members, one of whom must be an RN
• No float requirement
• 13-week contract length or longer accepted
• 40 to 80 hours of unit orientation required; techs start directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions training is completed
• Scrubs are provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• IR experience required - approximately 90% of all cases are IR
• Must be able to scrub and circulate IR/Cath Lab and cardiology procedures
• Assist provider while performing diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures
• Combo lab environment (IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP) with approximately 80-90% IR and 10% other procedure types
• Expect urgent and emergent cardiology and interventional radiology procedures including STEMIs
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include device implants such as PPM and ICD
• Medication administration performed by RN only
• Required skills include scrubbing, circulating, and telemetry monitoring
• Preferred skills include EKG lead placement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and ARRT or RCIS
• Preferred certifications: ARRT Advanced Certification, RCES, RCIS with medical experience
• Required skills include accurate monitoring, carotid stenting, catheter/drain exchange, diagnostic cardiac cath lab, left and right heart catheterization, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, renal artery stent placement, stent placement, thoracentesis, ureteral stent placement, kyphoplasties, and biopsies
• Special equipment includes GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System, Implanta Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella

This facility operates a combination interventional lab encompassing interventional radiology, cardiology, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures. The lab is equipped with advanced imaging and procedural technology to support a high volume of complex diagnostic and interventional cases. The team is structured with a multi-disciplinary approach, ensuring collaborative and efficient patient care across a broad range of urgent, emergent, and elective procedures.
