Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Schedule posted every 6 weeks with shift start times at 0700, 0900, 1200, 1500, and 1900
• Every other weekend required
• Must be open to floating to different campuses and Swedish ED sister facilities
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience: 4-5 patients
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Care for typical emergency department patients across Adult/Pedi ER, Ambulance Triage, ED Holding, and Lobby Triage
• Unit consists of 40 total beds including 11 hallway beds and 29 standard beds with a daily census of 115
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform and manage breathing treatments, chest tube set-up and care, CPAP/BiPAP, and trach care with vents
• Administer blood and blood products, perform cardioversion and defibrillation, and manage cooling and warming blankets
• Conduct procedure sedation, RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation), CRRT/dialysis, 12-lead EKGs, and rapid infuser use
• Skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, phlebotomy, triage, and interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and unit secretary

This facility is a full-service emergency department operating 24/7 with a combined Adult and Pediatric ER. The unit is a high-volume department supporting a broad range of critical and emergent patient needs, including ambulance triage, ED holding, and lobby triage. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support services and is equipped to handle complex procedures and critically ill patients across all age groups.
