Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• 3x12 weekend night shifts
• 3 weekend nights every week required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No on-call required
• Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• All requested time off must be included at time of submittal; one pre-approved time off allowed
• Cover STAT and ASAP orders throughout the hospital
• Primary focus on ER and OB triage orders, including portable exams and exams transported to the ultrasound department
• Routine exams are not expected but appreciated when time permits at the beginning or end of the shift
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:1; approximately 8 visits per day
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Required certifications: ARDMS AB or ARDMS OB/GYN (one required, NOT both), BLS
• Special equipment used: GE and Siemens ultrasound systems
• Key skills include abdominal, renal, pelvic, venous upper and lower extremity, and OB imaging
• No procedures expected during shift
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility operates with 325 staffed beds and provides comprehensive inpatient and emergency medical services. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and supports a wide range of interdisciplinary services including radiology, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services. The ultrasound department handles a variety of diagnostic imaging needs across multiple patient populations and acuity levels.
