Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float to Mother/Baby and Postpartum when needed
• No on-call or standby required (voluntary only)
• 1 week of floor-specific orientation provided
• Must have experience with C-sections including ability to confidently circulate and recover C-sections (scrubbing not required)
• Must have computer charting experience, preferably Cerner
• Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: mostly 2:1 depending on acuity, Antepartum up to 4:1, C-sections 1:1
• Required to titrate Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate drips per protocol
• Work with common diagnoses including laboring or preterm pregnant patients at 28 weeks gestation and greater
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Fetal Link EFM system
• Scrub color: Blue
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with a minimum score of 80% prior to accepting an offer (maximum 2 attempts)
• Must complete a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Facility:

This facility is a Level II NICU and Level 1 Trauma Center featuring an 18-bed LDRP unit, a 14-bed OB triage area, and an 8-bed Antepartum unit. The facility averages 8-10 deliveries per day and is equipped with 2 fully operational OR suites for C-sections. Comprehensive support services are available around the clock, including anesthesia, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and an OB hospitalist on-site to ensure the highest level of patient care.
