Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement includes 3 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday), 1 Friday, and 1 Monday per 4-week schedule
• Holiday shifts assigned as needed on a rotating basis
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Preference and block scheduling available with adjustments made based on unit need
• 20-bed Neuro ICU unit with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Nurse aides available on unit at a 10:1 ratio
• Free charge nurse available and not included in staffing ratios
• Intensivist in house during the day and on call at night with 24/7 APP coverage
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 with equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, high flow, and nasal cannula
• Monitor techs available; RNs responsible for reading strips
• Common patient diagnoses include stroke, dialysis, head bleeds, ventric/EVD, and neuro disorders requiring critical care
• RNs required to titrate drips including Levophed, phenylephrine, Versed, paralytics, heparin, insulin, nicardipine, and vasopressin
• Charting system: EPIC
• Acute care setting
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• ICU and critical care experience required
• Valid RN license required prior to submission

The facility provides around-the-clock specialty support including intensivist coverage, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and APP coverage to ensure high-quality patient care. The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic health record system and maintains structured staffing ratios to support both patients and clinical staff.
