Opportunity:
PCU RN, 4th Floor East Wing
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts available on days (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM) and nights (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• PCU level of care on a 55-bed unit
• RN patient ratio of 1:4 on both day and night shifts
• Adult patient population; pediatric patients are rarely seen and must be 15 years of age or older
• Common patient diagnoses include CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and weakness
• Experience with common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin required
• Telemetry competency required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps required
• May be required to float to medical-surgical areas based on highest unit need
• Scrub colors: Navy Blue for RNs, Ceil Blue for CNAs
• Nursing assistant support, charge nurse, educators, care managers, social workers, dieticians, PT, and OT available on unit
• Mechanical lifts available in every other room
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Must have an active license to submit
• Trauma Level 1 acute care setting
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Must pass an open book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
