Opportunity:

RN - Med/Tele Swing Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM depending on scheduling needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 with nurse aides available at a 1:8 ratio
• Self-scheduling with manager approval
• Weekend requirement of at least every 3rd weekend, at times every other weekend
• Holiday rotation based on unit needs
• May float to the Emergency Department as back-up support when volumes surge
• Care for adults and geriatrics, with occasional pediatric patients
• Majority of census consists of swing bed patients requiring IV antibiotics, therapy, or wound care
• Medical patients include diagnoses such as diabetes, pancreatitis, pneumonia, and other conditions
• 10-bed unit with a charge nurse present on each shift who takes an assignment
• 2 days of unit-specific orientation provided
• Scrub color required: Navy Blue
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Pass/fail open book exam during orientation requiring a minimum score of 90% to pass
• Driver's license required at time of submittal
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
