OR RN - PEN

Job Details:

• Friday through Sunday shifts available from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Additional shift options include 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM, or night shift from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Call requirements of approximately 120 hours per contract in rotation with staff on weeknights and weekends
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• Holiday coverage may be required depending on contract, with 4th of July preferred
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks
• Must have trauma and neuro experience
• Common cases include general, ENT, neuro, spine, ortho, and robotics procedures
• Work in a 16-suite OR with an average of 30 cases per day
• Charge nurse experience preferred; charge nurse and house supervisor will be on shift
• 2 OR techs on shift
• Scrubbing is not required for RNs
• Floating may be required within Zone 1 in cases of extreme need
• Scrubs are provided
• Charting conducted using Epic EMR
• BSN not required
• Must be within 60 miles of facility; driver's license must be submitted
• Must be available in state for week of orientation
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Trauma Level 2 facility experience applicable
• Acute care setting

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a large surgical department with 16 operating suites handling approximately 30 cases per day across a wide range of specialties including general surgery, ENT, neurology, spine, orthopedics, and robotics. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center supported by experienced charge nurses and house supervisors on every shift, ensuring a well-structured and collaborative environment for OR professionals. The organization utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and maintains a comprehensive on-call rotation to support its patient population around the clock.
