Opportunity:
RN - Surgery
Job Details:
• Operating hours run from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM for elective cases
• First call shift runs from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Second call shift runs from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
• Call is required for this position
• One weekend per month with 48-hour call coverage required
• 2 first call and 2 second call weekdays required
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Average of 25 to 35 cases per day
• Procedures performed include orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and ENT
• Over 1,300 total joints performed per year and 550 DaVinci robotic procedures per year
• Equipment includes Hana bed, DaVinci XI, MAKO, and Velys hip and knee systems
• Documentation system used is Meditech
• Must provide own scrubs
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team member required
• Required certification: BLS

This regional hospital features a 10-bed surgical unit located on the main campus first floor, supported by a dedicated team including a manager, board runner, holding nurse, surgical attendants, and anesthesia technician. The facility is equipped with advanced surgical technology including two DaVinci XI robotic systems, MAKO, and Velys hip and knee systems, making it a high-volume destination for orthopedic and robotic-assisted procedures. The work-friendly environment and experienced team provide an excellent setting for surgical nursing professionals.
