Opportunity:
RN - Float Pool Med/Surg
Job Details:
• Float position rotating to all Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units with mid-shift float possible
• Patient ratios: 1:3 on days, 1:4 on nights and weekends
• Every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 8-week contract)
• No on-call requirements
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers accepted only if they have previously floated in Med/Surg
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certification: BLS
• Michigan nursing license required (must be in-hand at time of submission, not compact)
• 2 manager or supervisor references required
• Care for adult patients across multiple specialties including urology, orthopedics, neurology, family medicine, surgical short stay, medical short stay, oncology, pulmonary, and GI
• Skills include but are not limited to blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, PICC line management, PCA management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, and isolation precautions/PPE

The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization maintains high standards of patient care across multiple Med/Surg and telemetry units serving adult patients with diverse medical and surgical needs.
