Opportunity:
Neurosurgical Exp OR RN - Req 10419
Job Details:
• Must be fully competent in all neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and complex spine
• May float to other services within the main OR and potentially to an outpatient surgical center per unit needs
• On-call required 1 time per week with 1 weekend every 6-week schedule
• Weekends required for on-call only; block schedules are not required
• Expected patient ratio is 1:1
• 1 year of experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, CNOR
• Must be competent in a wide range of surgical procedures including but not limited to: craniotomies, complex spine, anterior cervical fusion, cervical fusions, lumbar fusion, spinal fusion, laminectomy/discectomy, ALIF, insertion of VP shunt, ortho/spine, general OR, robotics, ENT, plastics, pediatrics, and transplant procedures
• Patients served include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• OR includes 20 rooms with interdisciplinary support from IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Scrub color: any color for RNs
• Parking is provided at no cost
• Valid WA or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
Facility:
This facility is a short-term acute care hospital operating as both a Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, with a total of 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it supports a wide range of complex surgical specialties including neurosurgery, orthopedics, robotics, ENT, plastics, pediatrics, and transplant services. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary support structure to ensure high-quality patient care across all departments.
