Opportunity:
Emergency Nurse
Job Details:
• Full-time variable schedule working both night and day shifts
• Work in the Emergency Department providing patient and family-centered care
• Deliver developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based nursing care
• Communicate and advocate for patient values, preferences, and needs as part of interdisciplinary care planning
• Apply communication practices that minimize risks across transitions of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in shared decision-making
• Participate in quality improvement activities including Root Cause Analyses, Apparent Cause Analyses, and Interdisciplinary Meetings
• Utilize outcome data at the patient level to make care decisions
• Navigate and document in the EMR to support patient care
• Communicate observations or concerns related to unsafe situations posing risks to patients, families, or the healthcare team
• Participate in shared governance activities and professional development opportunities
• Precept and educate orientees, peers, and students as a clinical resource
• Active RN license required
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association required with at least 3 months remaining before expiration
