Opportunity:
Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology
Job Details:
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and CHEMO (ONS/ONCC); ACLS preferred
• Travelers will float within their skillset, including potential float to the main New Brunswick campus connected by a pedestrian bridge
• Every other weekend required based on unit needs
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• All requested time off must be submitted with the submittal and approved before an offer is made
• Block scheduling is not approved
• Treats patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Required skills include administration of chemotherapy, anaphylaxis management, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, monitoring chemotherapy, management and disposal of cytotoxic spills, body fluid handling post chemotherapy, recognizing and managing side effects, and sepsis management
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required
