Opportunity:

RN - ICU/Step-Down

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Travelers typically do not work holidays, depending on schedule and permanent staff availability
• Unit consists of 6 private beds functioning as a high acuity step-down/low acuity ICU
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal conditions, surgical cases, and respiratory issues
• Charting system: TruBridge - Evident (CPSI)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be prepared to take an ECG exam on the first day
• Expected to float to Telemetry/Med-Surg unit as needed
• 1 shift of floor orientation will be provided
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• BSN not required
• Cancellation policy: 1 week of guaranteed hours may be cancelled over a 13-week period

This acute care facility operates a high acuity step-down unit that functions as a low acuity ICU, providing specialized care for critically ill patients. The unit is equipped with private patient rooms and maintains a low patient-to-nurse ratio to ensure quality care. The facility supports its nursing staff with adequate PPE supplies and utilizes an electronic medical records system to streamline patient care and documentation.
