Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• 1 year of experience required; first time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Must be open to floating to different campuses and Swedish ED sister facilities
• Every other weekend required
• Schedule posted every 6 weeks with shift start times of 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM
• Non-holiday time off: 5 days per week added to end of contract; more than 5 days will be sent for manager consideration
• Patient ratio experience of 4-5 patients required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Care for typical emergency department patients across Adult/Pedi ER, Ambulance Triage, ED Holding, and Lobby Triage
• Unit consists of 11 hallway beds and 29 standard beds for a total of 40 beds with a daily census of 115
• Serve patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform and manage breathing treatments, chest tube set-up and care, CPAP/BiPAP, procedural sedation, and RSI
• Provide trach care and ventilator management, blood and blood product administration, and cardioversion/defibrillation
• Operate cooling/warming blankets, CRRT/dialysis, rapid infuser, and obtain 12-lead EKGs
• Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and phlebotomy
• Additional skills include management of dysrhythmias, ICP monitoring, interpretation of ABGs, procedural sedation monitoring, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and unit secretary

This healthcare facility operates a full-service emergency department providing comprehensive care for a wide range of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. The emergency department features 40 total beds and maintains a high daily census of 115 patients, supported by robust interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services. The facility handles complex cases including trauma, neurological emergencies, and critical care procedures, making it a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced emergency nursing professionals.
