Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• No call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips prior to start - failure of exam will result in contract termination
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and open heart surgery patients downgraded from ICU
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• May float to Intensive Care Units for telemetry or medically appropriate assignments, medical surgical units, and other facility locations
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
