Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

• Coordinate nursing care for patients presenting to the Emergency Department ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric
• Perform triage according to the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level triage process
• Plan, implement, and evaluate all levels of patient care with age-appropriate assessments
• Document patient care using medical terminology, maintaining medically and legally acceptable ED records
• Monitor life support and automated technical equipment, perform routine and complex treatments including medication administration and emergency resuscitation protocols
• Insert and safely administer IV fluids, blood and blood products, and other parenteral fluids
• Coordinate care needs of multiple patients while prioritizing to ensure timely and quality care delivery
• Collaborate with providers, peers, ancillary departments, and outside agencies to provide efficient patient care
• Respond to crisis situations in a calm and efficient manner, directing others concisely
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring checklists are completed and rooms are stocked before end of each shift
• 2+ years of relevant emergency department nursing experience required
• Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC; ATCN preferred
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required
