Job Details:

• Day/Night rotating shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM one week and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following week; block schedule will be considered
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday requirements apply if the holiday falls within the blocked schedule
• No on-call or standby requirement
• 12-hour orientation shift provided (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required; previous Med/Surg experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC; PALS preferred
• BSN not required; active license required prior to submission
• Float to Med/Surg and Swing Bed unit, which is located on the same unit
• RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips; Mindray telemetry monitors used
• RNs responsible for respiratory equipment management including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow
• No clinical involvement with MN NetStudy background check process
• ER holds are intermixed within the ER; separate psych/seclusion rooms available
• Facility treats an average of 10 patients per day in the ER
• Charge nurse present on each shift and takes patient assignments
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue
• Charting system: Point Click Care (PCC)
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or up to 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Facility:

This acute care facility operates as a Critical Access Hospital featuring a Trauma Level IV emergency department, STEMI receiving designation, and Stroke Center designation. The emergency department includes 4 beds and 2 trauma bays, along with separate psych and seclusion rooms. The facility provides a collaborative care environment with ED physicians staffed on each shift and a charge nurse present at all times.
