Opportunity:
RN - MS-Tele Float
Job Details:
• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
• Rare call or standby requirement for low census situations
• Must float within Zone 3 covering a 60-mile radius around Denver City Center, including OrthoColorado Hospital, Longmont United Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, and St. Anthony North Hospital
• Must live at least 60 miles from each facility within Zone 3
• Schedules are released 4-6 weeks in advance and follow one of two formats: scheduled at a single facility for the week or Just-In-Time (JIT) where facility is assigned 1-2 hours before shift start
• Float across multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• May be asked to float into other acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of MS-Tele experience
• Prior neuro experience preferred
• Required to titrate Heparin drips
• RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP used on unit
• Nurse aides available on unit
• Designated charge nurse on each unit who typically does not take a patient assignment
• 1-2 days of orientation with a preceptor
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Charting system: EPIC
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
