Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Every third weekend requirement (Friday and Saturday considered weekend for nights)
• Self-scheduling system
• May float to PCU and McDermott (behavioral health)
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• First week classroom orientation followed by one 12-hour unit shift
• BLS certification required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility
• Driver's license required for distance verification
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within past year
• Use EPIC charting system
• Care for patients with total joint replacements, COPD, diabetes, wounds, IV infusions, dementia, oncology, fractures, sepsis, pneumonia, and other medical conditions
• Administer heparin, IV antibiotics, antithrombics, and narcotic drips at set rates
• Focus on hourly rounding and bedside shift report
• Must be flexible, self-directed, and adaptable to change
