Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an ER setting required
• Travel experience preferred but not required (first-time travelers accepted with Level 1 ER experience)
• Kentucky or compact nursing license required
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 4-5 weekend shifts per 6-week contract period
• For 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM shifts, Friday and Saturday are counted as weekends
• For 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM shifts, Saturday and Sunday are counted as weekends
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Request for time off longer than 1 week not approved unless special circumstance; RTO must be presented at time of submission
• Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted at this facility
• Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 90 with approximately 250 visits per day across 84 rooms and 100 beds
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
• Required skills: care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, triage
• Trauma Level I experience preferred but not required
• Required exams upon onboarding: Advanced Math exam, Med/Pharmacology exam, EKG Onboarding exam, ED Competency exam, ED skills, and CORE exams

The emergency department serves a diverse patient population spanning all age groups and offers access to specialty services including respiratory care, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
