Opportunity:
OT - Occupational Therapist
Job Details:
• Primary shift is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with hours potentially running 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 1-2 weekends per month required, which could include both days with time off before and/or after the weekend
• No on-call responsibilities required
• Inpatient setting covering acute care and rehabilitation
• Average caseload of 4-5 patients per day with 21 beds on the unit
• Perform evaluations, treatment interventions, team conferences, modalities, documentation, and FIM assessments
• Utilize computerized charting via EPIC as well as UE Bioness and Dynavision equipment
• Treat patients of all ages with varying diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, and general medical disorders
• Evaluate and treat medically complex and often medically unstable patients requiring critical thinking and ongoing assessment
• Must demonstrate knowledge of normal and abnormal vital signs, indications and contraindications, and awareness of vital medical equipment
• Must be able to manage high-volume caseloads and dynamic schedules requiring constant rescheduling and prioritization
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, discharge planning, and hand-off communication
• May be asked to supervise certified occupational therapist assistants, aides, and students
• Dress code: Business casual attire required, no jeans, modest attire expected; polo in colors ceil blue, khaki, gray, or chocolate brown also acceptable
• Orientation includes 1 to 2 days of specific computer documentation training with additional department-specific training over several days
• BLS certification required
• Trauma Level 1 facility

The facility utilizes advanced technology including EPIC charting, UE Bioness, and Dynavision systems to support clinical staff.
