Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night schedule
• Care for all ages of patients in an 11-bed ICU and Telemetry unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2 to 3 patients per nurse
• Care for ventilated patients, post cardiac cath, IABP, sepsis, COPD, post-op surgical, trauma, limited neuro, and DKA patients
• Occasional pediatric patients including RSV and DKA cases - will assist with pediatric patients but will not be primary nurse for pediatric cases
• Utilize MEDITECH charting system and bedside verification for medication administration
• Operate equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, Swan, Phillips monitors, IV pumps, and transvenous pacers
• Ability to read EKGs required
• Minimum 6 months of ICU experience required; 1 year of experience preferred
• Telemetry experience required
• Wyoming or compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC
• BSN not required
• Navy scrubs required
• 3 shifts of on-the-floor orientation with ICU RN; no classroom orientation
• Call not required but may occasionally be requested
• Cancellation policy allows up to 24 hours per 13-week contract

This acute care facility operates an 11-bed ICU and Telemetry unit with a Trauma Level 3 designation, providing comprehensive critical care services. The unit is supported by 24-hour hospitalist coverage, eICU support, and a full complement of support staff including CPS, Laboratory, and Radiology services. The facility utilizes modern medical equipment and technology to deliver high-quality patient care across a wide range of critical care conditions.
