Job Details:

• Rotating schedule with weekend coverage required; number of weekend shifts per contract varies
• Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24-hour orientation period
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Care for patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Provide labor and delivery care including triage of obstetrical patients
• Unit consists of 10 rooms and 10 beds
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
• Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Key skills required include: administration of blood and blood products, labor and delivery, magnesium sulfate therapy, neonatal resuscitation, external and internal fetal monitoring, pitocin/oxytocin administration, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, postpartum hemorrhage response, cesarean section support, epidural anesthesia assistance, and triage of obstetrical patients
• Active PA or Compact license required

This facility operates a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit with 10 beds, providing comprehensive obstetric and neonatal care. The unit is supported by a full interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, transportation, and unit secretaries, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative care environment for both patients and clinical staff.
