Opportunity:

RN - Medical Unit

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Nursing ratio of 5:1 on day shifts and 5-6:1 on night shifts
• Nurses may occasionally have one total care patient
• Care for a wide variety of patients with the primary population being stroke patients who do not require TPA, as well as comfort care and hospice patients
• Manage post-operative patients including those with amputations, drains, chest tubes, and feeding tubes
• Administer and monitor heparin drips
• Perform wound care
• Care for patients with altered mental status, CIWA protocol, AKI, dialysis needs, and COPD exacerbations
• Stroke certification required

This facility features a 25-bed medical unit consisting of 11 private rooms and 7 semi-private rooms. The unit provides comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, with a strong focus on stroke care and post-operative recovery. The unit is equipped to handle a broad range of complex medical needs, including specialized treatments and monitoring for high-acuity patients.
