Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

• 13 or 26 week contracts available
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
• Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
• Care for patient age groups including adolescents, infants, and adults
• Patient diagnoses include labor and preterm labor
• Unit includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Responsibilities include circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, and low risk labor and delivery
• Required procedures include blood and blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
• Must be able to attend all deliveries including high risk deliveries
• Additional responsibilities include GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery
• Float may be required to post-partum and potentially labor and delivery at a sister facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

The unit is equipped to handle both low and high risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, couplet care, and transition nursery services. The organization supports interdisciplinary care and utilizes Epic as its charting system to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care across its network of facilities.
