Opportunity:
MRI Technologist
Job Details:
• Night shift position working 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Blocked scheduling type
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirement: Yes, floating to NHRMC and NHRMC Ortho as needed
• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Local candidates accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of 12 with 12 visits per day
• 12 hours of unit orientation required
• Scrubs: Royal blue
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Special equipment: GE, Siemens, PACS
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT MR, ARRT R
• Required skills include: Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, ER/Trauma, Abdomen, Female Pelvis, MRCP, Male Pelvis, MR Aortogram, Breast, Chest, GE, PACS, Siemens, Brain, Cranial Nerves, Face/Soft Tissue Neck, Head MRA, Head MRV, Neck MRV, Orbits, Foot, Hand, Hip/Bony Pelvis, Knee, Lower Extremity Long Bones, Shoulder, Upper Extremity Long Bones, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Preparation and/or Administration of Contrast Media, Starting Peripheral IVs, Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Image Post-Processing, Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP), Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T-1 Weighted Images, T-2 Weighted Images, Cervical, Lumbar, Sacrum/Coccyx, Spinal Trauma, and Thoracic
• Preferred skills include: Abdominal MRA, Abdominal MRV, MR Angio Lower Extremity with Bilateral Runoff, Sternum, Temporomandibular Joint with/without Contrast, CINE (Cerebrospinal Fluid Flow Study), Perfusion, Peripheral MRA, and Thoracic MRA

The facility utilizes Epic for documentation and is equipped with advanced imaging technology including GE and Siemens systems. The health system maintains robust emergency preparedness protocols, including designated storm and hurricane response teams to ensure continued patient care during critical events.
