Opportunity:
RN - Labor & Delivery
Job Details:
• High-risk labor and delivery experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act
• Document according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute patient plans of care according to individualized patient needs as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and escalate appropriately through the chain of command
• Current Illinois (IL) nursing license required
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
• Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, NRP
