RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM based on scheduler assignment
• No block scheduling - schedule managed by facility scheduler
• Weekend requirement varies per need
• Holiday requirement varies per need
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Day shift ratio 1:4, night shift ratio 1:5
• Charge nurse on each shift with a 1:10 ratio
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available at a 1:10 ratio
• May float to ER for 1:1 patient sitting assignments
• Scrub color required: Navy Blue
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
• Orientation includes classroom orientation and one 12-hour shift on the floor
• Pass/fail open book exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required to pass
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS
• ACLS preferred
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Radius rule: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
• Requested time off must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract
