Opportunity:

RN - MSU/PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital providing care in MSU/PCU settings
• Must be experienced in all areas and willing to flex between departments as needed
• Active Washington state nursing license required
• Identify patient and significant others' needs for patient education and provide education utilizing appropriate modalities
• Implement patient safety measures including proper use of side rails, restraints, and safe equipment operation
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation of all equipment in PCU/Telemetry/MedSurg areas
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow procedures for repair of essential equipment
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures using proper protocols and documentation
• Utilize standard precautions at all times
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of physician orders
• Complete 24-hour check of orders as applicable to assigned shift
• Provide thorough and accurate change of shift reports to oncoming staff
• Communicate critical lab values to physicians in a timely manner per policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies
