Opportunity:
MS/Tele RN
Job Details:
• 13-week assignment with night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period; traveler may be called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
• Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend and is subject to staffing needs
• No on-call required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for both days and nights
• Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model utilized on unit - each patient has 1 bedside RN, 1 Virtual RN, and 1 CNA
• Virtual nurse works remotely and assists with admissions, discharge education, care plans, CIWA, and MD follow-up
• May float to like/sister MS units to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling not available
• Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Surgical diagnoses include colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, EENT, and wound care
• Medical diagnoses include cancer-related conditions, lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder
• Required skills include MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Parking is free
• Required certification: BLS
• Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must be in hand for auto offer
• Must be able to complete Alaska RN license application within 48 hours of signing
