Opportunity:

RN - 4 South Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Job Details:

• 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
• Must have active license at time of submission
• Day shift hours: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM; Night shift hours: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5, with potential to stretch to 1:6
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Telemetry experience required
• Preferred experience includes surgical bariatrics, cardiac experience, vascular surgery, and wound vac/dressing changes
• Care for patients with conditions including vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, general surgery, telemetry, peripheral vascular disease, sepsis, atherosclerosis, GI bleeds, chest tubes, and arrhythmias
• Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, Bladder Scanners, EKGs, Atrium Chest Tubes, Dinamaps, and Vein Finder
• EMR system: Meditech Expanse
• Float to like med-surgical units and other areas of the hospital such as PCU/ED if patients are overflowing, with same patient types
• Ideal candidate is a team player, hard-working, multi-tasker, and flexible

Facility:

This facility is a well-established medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 4 South unit is a 47-bed medical-surgical and telemetry floor consisting of 23 semi-private rooms and 1 private room. The unit is staffed by a collaborative team including charge nurses, registered nurses, LNAs, unit clerks, and telemetry technicians, working together to provide high-quality patient care across a diverse range of medical and surgical conditions.
