Opportunity:

Perioperative RN

Job Details:

• Work weekday shifts on a Monday through Friday 5x8 schedule
• Rotating on-call responsibilities required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Average 7-9 days of call per month with a 20-minute response time to the hospital
• Provide care to patients before, during, and after operations and procedures
• Must possess a comprehensive range of general nursing skills with the ability to adapt and learn new skills quickly
• Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current BLS certification required; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months required
• Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques required
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions required
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately in a wide variety of situations
• Preferred experience in Pre-op, PACU, and Circulating for General, Ortho, and O.B. cases including C-sections
• Preferred ability to assist in trauma cases in the emergency room
• Must be confident in caring for surgical patients independently during overnight emergency call cases
• Strong communication skills including oral, written, and listening required
• Ability to remain composed and effective in stressful situations with changing circumstances
