Opportunity:

Neuro EXP Tele RN

Job Details:

• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Float between units to meet unit needs
• Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 48 patients with 48 rooms and 64 beds
• Minimum of 1 year of neurology RN experience required
• Must be comfortable with the NIH scale and proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and other varied neurology diagnoses
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency in Epic charting system required
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), craniotomy, CVA (cerebrovascular accident), interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, neuro stepdown, pre/post neurosurgery, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury
• Scrub color: Any color for RNs
• No parking fee
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital designated as both a Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 total staffed beds. The facility operates as a teaching hospital and houses a designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation, a Spine Center of Excellence with JCAHO designation, and a NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center. Interdisciplinary support services include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
